Laser Dentistry
Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure (LANAPTM) is a laser-based approach to gum disease using an Nd:YAG free running pulsed laser requiring specific knowledge and skills drawn from the whole of dentistry. For our patients, this means less pain, less bleeding, less swelling, less tissue removed, less down time, and less recovery time. Patients report feeling much more comfortable during and after treatment. In addition, patients spend less time in the dental chair!
LANAPTM utilizes safe and proven laser technology to gently remove harmful bacteria and diseased tissue from the gums. With this procedure, it is possible to control periodontal disease and save and restore healthy teeth that may otherwise have to be extracted. This removal of bacteria allows the body to heal naturally so the gum pockets improve and the teeth become more stable. With LANAPTM, there is less pain and since the gum tissue is not cut with a scalpel, there are no stitches, minimal bleeding, and a quicker, much easier recovery.
